Quotes are from the RSV Catholic Edition or the Douay-Rheims

Proverbs 4:13-16 – Take hold on instruction, leave it not: keep it, because it is thy life. Be not delighted in the paths of the wicked, neither let the way of evil men please thee. Flee from it, pass not by it: go aside, and forsake it. For they sleep not except they have done evil: and their sleep is taken away unless they have made some to fall.

Proverbs 16:29 – An unjust man allureth his friend: and leadeth him into a way that is not good.

Proverbs 25:20 – And one that looseth his garment in cold weather. As vinegar upon nitre, so is he that singeth songs to a very evil heart. As a moth doth by a garment, and a worm by the wood: so the sadness of a man consumeth the heart.

Galatians 5:9 – A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

2 Peter 2:18-19 – For, uttering loud boasts of folly, they entice with licentious passions of the flesh men who have barely escaped from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for whatever overcomes a man, to that he is enslaved.
