Job 9:1-4 – And Job answered, and said: Indeed I know it is so, and that man cannot be justified compared with God. If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one for a thousand. He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath resisted him, and hath had peace?

Job 9:12-15 – If he examine on a sudden, who shall answer him? or who can say: Why dost thou so? God, whose wrath no man can resist, and under whom they stoop that bear up the world. What am I then, that I should answer him, and have words with him? I, who although I should have any just thing, would not answer, but would make supplication to my judge.

Job 21:22 – Shall any one teach God knowledge, who judgeth those that are high?

Job 26:3-4 – To whom hast thou given counsel? perhaps to him that hath no wisdom, and thou hast shewn thy very great prudence. Whom hast thou desired to teach? was it not him that made life?

Job 34:23 –  For it is no longer in the power of man to enter into judgment with God.

Job 40:1-3 – And the Lord answering Job out of the whirlwind, said: Gird up thy loins like a man: I will ask thee, and do thou tell me. Wilt thou make void my judgment: and condemn me, that thou mayst be justified?

Ecclesiastes 7:1, 30 – What needeth a man to seek things that are above him, whereas he knoweth not what is profitable for him in his life, in all the days of his pilgrimage, and the time that passeth like a shadow? Or who can tell him what shall be after him under the sun? […] Only this I have found, that God made man right, and he hath entangled himself with an infinity of questions. Who is as the wise man? and who hath known the resolution of the word?

Ecclesiastes 8:4 -And his word is full of power: neither can any man say to him: Why dost thou so?

Wisdom 12:12 – For who shall say to thee: What hast thou done? or who shall withstand thy judgment? or who shall come before thee to be a revenger of wicked men? or who shall accuse thee, if the nations perish, which thou hast made?

Isaiah 45:9-10 – Woe to him that gainsayeth his maker, a sherd of the earthen pots: shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it: What art thou making, and thy work is without hands?  Woe to him that saith to his father: Why begettest thou? and to the woman: Why dost thou bring forth?

Daniel 4:32 – And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing before him: for he doth according to his will, as well with the powers of heaven, as among the inhabitants of the earth: and there is none that can resist his hand, and say to him: Why hast thou done it?

Romans 9:18-21 – So then he has mercy upon whomever he wills, and he hardens the heart of whomever he wills. You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?”  But who are you, a man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me thus?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for beauty and another for menial use?
