What is Your ‘Bible Birthday Verse’?

Posted By on January 6, 2011

Father Kenneth Allen tweets a link to Birthverse which has a tool for finding your Bible Birthday Verse.

Here is mine.

Acts 11:16 NIV
Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

The interesting thing is that I was received into the Church as an adult, baptized at St. John the Baptist parish in Rineyville, Ky. So…my ‘birthday verse’ describes my new birth in Christ. I think that’s just awesome.

Follow Fr. Allen on Twitter. I do! Visit his blog, too.

He has some awesome pics, including this pic of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis, King of France. See more at FatherAllen.net.

    Mine was:

    Ephesians 2:5 NIV
…alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

    Isn’t that the truth :)

      Amen, brother!

Hey, I noticed I get no notification in my mailbox when an unmoderated commenter makes a comment….so people are commenting sometimes without my knowledge. I will have to see if I can get a notification everytime someone comments, even if they are not moderated. I use WordPress….and have been using it since July but am still not up on all the options.

  3. [...] This neat tool for finding your Birth Verse comes from Lisa Graas. [...]

  4. I don’t mean to be too picky; however, I did notice that birthday Bible verse generator uses the NIV, which is a heretical translation of the Bible.

Jesus is my true love, but that protestant Stacy McCain hits my tip jar.
